1. Observe the painting at the left, question yourself on all the teachings you have been given by your parents, teachers and friends.Does any of it not ring true to your life experiences.
2.Pour it out.
3.Refill your mind with new understanding.
Philosophy aside let's get to basic understanding.
You.... that's all you need, wicca allows for disbelief in the god/dess,the rituals or the proper equipment. These things will naturally follow as you learn.
Step 1. Read whatever you can find on the subject (ie websites, books etc..) but be careful there is alot of bad or useless information. Keep in mind as you read does this person sound intelligent and well informed, After awhile this will be easy and your wicca will take a defined shape. Most people start as solitary practitioners, and never join a coven. this is just fine, but it really helps to talk with other wiccans to know your not alone.See video links in left column.
step 2. You will want to make or puchase some basic equipment ( see consecration page for a list of equipment). Keep in mind (no matter what others might say!) Wiccan worship does not require you to have tools but certain rituals and Magicks ( see definition of magick with a "k" in the glossary page.) does.
step 3. Make the decision in your mind and call yourself a Wiccan. You do not have to tell or reveal this to anyone else.
step 4. continually Define your belief and practice it. the first universal belief in wicca is the wiccan rede at left and on all my web pages For a more detailed version see the wiccan laws page.
step 5. it's up to you.Now that you have taken your first step.Be proud to be a witch so that when you step out of the broom closet, as they say, people around you will know that is who you are and respect you and your belief.
Please enjoy the site and may the light of the goddess illuminate your way.
